It's a Boy! Cake Pops

Recently, my friend, Izzy, found out she was pregnant with a new baby boy! She wanted to tell all her friends and family the sex of the baby in a creative (and yummy) way, so she asked if I would make cake pops for the occasion. That's easy enough, but she also wanted them to be German Chocolate in flavor.
I started out making a blue velvet cake (they sell the mix at Walmart) and mixing it with cream cheese frosting. I made it in to smaller balls than I normally do so that they could be covered in the German Chocolate cake mixture and not make a colossal cake pop.
When the little balls were in the refrigerator getting hard, I made the chocolate cake and mixed it with the German Chocolate coconut frosting. When it was ready to go, I took a little bit of the German Chocolate cake/frosting mixture and spread it out in my hand. I then placed one of the blue cake balls on top and covered the blue completely with the German Chocolate cake making a bigger ball.
After those balls had been in the refrigerator an hour, one by one I took them out, put them on a stick, and dipped them in chocolate candy coating. Once the chocolate was hardened, I decorated the pops with pink and blue question marks using pink and blue cookie icing. After the icing was dry, they were ready to be bagged, tied, and delivered to the mommy-to-be.
